Storage & Handling: All of the above data is saved in your device's secure local storage (via internal databases and preferences). It is never uploaded to our own remote databases and never shared with advertisers.
B. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Features
Diet Coach provides intelligent meal suggestions, recipe creation (AI Chef), and nutritional estimation using the Google Gemini API.
- When you request a meal generation or ask the AI Chef for recipes, only the necessary non-identifiable parameters (e.g., meal type, target calories, selected ingredients, dietary constraints) are sent to Google Gemini servers to produce the response.
- Your personal identity (name, contact info, device identifiers) is never attached to these AI prompts.
- Google Gemini processes these requests according to Google's Privacy Policy and API Terms of Service.
C. In-App Purchases & Financial Data
Diet Coach offers an optional one-time In-App Purchase (IAP) to unlock premium benefits (ad removal, elevated daily AI usage limits):
- All payments and financial transactions are handled directly and securely by Apple StoreKit (on iOS) or Google Play Billing (on Android).
- We do not collect, view, or store any credit card numbers, billing addresses, or bank details.
- The app only receives an anonymous purchase confirmation token and receipt from Apple/Google to activate your premium status locally on your device.
D. Advertisements (Free Version)
To support free access to Diet Coach, the unpaid version of the application displays banner and interstitial advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
- AdMob may collect and process device-specific information, such as your Advertising Identifier (IDFA on iOS with permission, or Google Advertising ID / GAID on Android), IP address, and general diagnostic information to serve ads and prevent fraud.
- Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT): On iOS 14.5 and later, we ask for your explicit permission before any tracking identifier is used for personalized advertising. If you decline, non-personalized ads are shown.
- Ad-Free Option: Purchasing our one-time premium unlock permanently removes all advertisements and disables all advertising SDK activity.
